ES: Al crecer en un hogar multicultural al otro lado del puente de Manhattan, siempre me encantó conocer gente nueva donde quiera que fuera. Ya sea que hable con ellos en español, inglés, espanglish (mi favorito personal) o mi mejor esfuerzo en portugués, me encanta encontrar un terreno común, una manera de conectar con todos, y a través de los deportes y el Real Madrid, ¡puedo lograr precisamente eso!
De madre italiana/alemana y padre español – ¡Olé! – Mi lado europeo me habló así que hace más de 6 años zarpé hacia España y aquí estoy. Mi pasión por las Comunicaciones Bilingües comenzó en Times Square, pero sigo persiguiendo esta pasión aquí en Europa, actualmente cursando mi Maestría en la Escuela del Real Madrid en Comunicaciones y Periodismo Deportivo a través de su programa único con la Universidad Europea.
Si bien mi inglés escrito es mejor que mi español escrito, este blog resultó ser un desafío divertido y emocionante para mejorar mi vocabulario y estructura de oraciones en español. También notarás que trato de poner humor en algunas de mis publicaciones y hacer referencias a la cultura pop, lo que es aún más indicativo de mi personalidad y estilo de escritura. Esto es algo que mis profesores animaban y vieron como una chispa creativa, pero también me recordaron que este sigue siendo un blog de deportes profesional, así que hice todo lo posible para limitarlo y ¡no lo encontrarás en todas las publicaciones!
Actualmente estoy buscando mi próxima oportunidad bilingüe en el mundo de los medios deportivos, ¡espero que disfrutes mi página!

EN: Growing up in a multi-cultural household across the bridge from Manhattan, I always loved meeting new people wherever I went. Whether I spoke to them in Spanish, English, Espanglish (my personal favourite) or my best Portuguese effort, I love finding a common ground – a way to connect with everyone – and through sports and Real Madrid, I am able to do just that!
With an Italian/German mother and a Spanish father – ¡Olé! – my European side spoke to me so I set sail to Spain over 6 years ago, and here I am. My passion for Bilingual Communications began in Times Square, but I am continuing to pursue this passion here in Europa, currently pursuing my Master’s Degree with The School of Real Madrid in Communications and Sports Journalism through their unique program with Universidad Europea.
While my written English is better than my written Spanish, this blog proved as a fun and exciting challenge to improve my Spanish vocabulary and sentence structure. You will also notice I try to put humor in some of my posts and make references to pop culture, which is further indicative of my personality and writing style. This is something that my professors encouraged and viewed as a creative spark, but they also reminded me that this is still a professional sports blog, so I did my best to limit it and you won’t find it in every post!
